Just 30 miles away is Ocala, with its magnificent National Forest, natural springs and picturesque horse farms.

There are over a dozen conveniently located shopping centers throughout the area. Lake Square Mall offers a variety of specialty and department stores only three miles away. Or, you can shop the retail centers of Orlando, an easy 45-mile drive.
Is there a lot to do in Central Florida?
Central Florida has one of the largest concentrations of family entertainment and recreational activities in the country. From Lake Griffin Harbor you are approximately 50 miles from the magic of Walt Disney World, EPCOT Center and Disney/MGM Studios. Busch Gardens, Sea World and a host of other famous attractions are also close. In addition you can enjoy professional football, basketball and major league baseball in the spring.

Excellent. Leesburg Regional Medical Center, only three miles away is a fully accredited facility offering a wide range of health care services with the most advanced technology available. Waterman Hospital is just 10 miles away in Eustis.

Orlando International Airport is approximately 55 miles from Lake Griffin Harbor and has service to almost every major city in the US as well as international flights.

At Lake Griffin Harbor we welcome pets with reasonable rules in place. There are no weight restrictions; however we do restrict aggressive* dog breeds.
Is there storage for my RV and boat?
Yes! We offer on-site storage for oversized vehicles like RVs and boats.
Are there golf courses close by?
You’ll have your choice of several professionally manicured courses in the area.
What about fishing in the area?
YOuc an fish right off the pier into Lake Griffin. And, Leesburg is known for hosting the annual “Bass-master Tournament” right on the Harris Chain of Lakes. Central Florida is home to some of the best sports fishing in the state. For the deep-sea fisherman, the Gulf of Mexico is within 50 miles. Plus, you can drop a line in just about any of Florida’s rivers or lakes.

We think it is the most comfortable in the state with an average year-round mean temperature of 74 degrees.
I’ve never lived in a manufactured home, are they safe?
In short; very. All manufactured homes built from 1994 on require wind standard construction, which is governed by HUD. Our homes are built to withstand winds of 125 mph. In fact, Cypress Lakes® made it through the Hurricanes of 2004 without any major damage!
